The why and where

It's been three months since college graduation and I'm unemployed, broke, full of very specific cg animation skills and I've been turned down by every industry job and internship I've applied to. I'm hoping this blog becomes a record of what I did to change all that. I can't know for sure, but here goes.

In June I moved to Los Angeles with my boyfriend who wanted so badly to be here. I think he likes it. I might be able to like it someday, if I can find a job and make some friends. I miss the familiar faces of New York and the East Coast.

Today is the day that I will start focusing on fixing my life. I will start by taking this week to get a license and make my car passenger friendly. I think be a ride-share driver will help me pay rent for a little bit and give me time to take sudden job interviews, if I ever get one.

After I become a driver, I will see what can be earned there. I am starting a more thorough job hunt at the same time. I will log the whens and wheres of my job applications. I will create new things for my reel. I will keep records and budget my time and money. Maybe I will become boring. Maybe that'll be a good thing. We'll see!
